From our spectacular Grand Opening on October 9, 1993 to the present, the facility continues to be a favorite stop among artists.

We have hosted numerous entertainment events boasting sellout crowds. Artists such as Elton John, the Eagles, Jason Aldean, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Nickelback and Aerosmith all have played the BancorpSouth Arena drawing capacity crowds. The building is so “artist friendly” that Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Reba and Alan Jackson have all booked the facility for weeks of show rehearsals. This type of business pays compliment to the Cadence Bank Arena, as well as the entire city of Tupelo.

The Cadence Bank Arena has also been nominated for many prestigious awards since its opening. In 1994, the facility was nominated for Best New Major Concert Venue in Pollstar Magazine. That same year Performance Magazine nominated Cadence Bank Arena as Best New Facility (7,000 to 12,999 seats) and Best New Facility overall. Our flexible space allows us to convert from a large arena to an intimate theatre setting for 1,800 within a matter of minutes.
