“When we decided to create a new website for our fair, we talked to several companies, both local and some we found on the internet. We participated in a webinar that Saffire had conducted and was impressed with the quality of their work, the ease of maintenance, and the mobile website included in the package. I contacted Cassie and she was most helpful even providing another webinar for just our committee who were in charge of selecting the new website company. The more we talked to Cassie, the more we decided we wanted to do business with Saffire! Once we signed up, the creative staff worked very hard to provide us with the best design they could, and the result is a site that we are extremely proud of. We feel that we received exceptional value and are very happy to be associated with Saffire!”

The proceeds from the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair (GBRSF) are donated back into the Baton Rouge community through grants to organizations involved with children and families. Over $4,000,000 has been donated since 1985. Each year, an outstanding volunteer student in each high school in East Baton Rouge, Ascension and Livingston Parishes is awarded a $500 scholarship. The scholarships are presented to high school juniors. Another annual scholarship is the LSU Agriculture School Scholarship given in honor of George Simoneaux. This is funded by a $10,000 grant to the LSU Foundation. The Youth Livestock Shows give area 4-H and FFA members another opportunity to show their goats, beef and dairy cows and compete for ribbons and up to $5,000 in prize money. The fair also provides a financial boost to the community with more than $250,000 spent locally each year in the production of the fair. The GBRSF is a major small business effort and it is all done with volunteers. As an opportunity for youth and families to enjoy wholesome family entertainment, the fair is an exceptional value.
