In 2016, the Experience Weatherford marketing campaign was led by
the Communications and Marketing Department in collaboration with the
Weatherford Parks Department and Main Street Program. The campaign partnered
with Saffire to create new branding and a website, which launched in December
of 2016!
“We wanted to modernize our tourism efforts in a way that
supported and highlighted all businesses, attractions and events in Weatherford
and Saffire has helped us accomplish that,” said Blake Rexroat, the Director of
Communications and Marketing for the city. “In a matter of weeks, we have built
an all-new online tool for us to promote Weatherford that offers interactive
features for visitors to plan their stay and enjoy this destination.”
Additionally, by using Saffire’s SPARK Content Management System,
the Experience Weatherford staff is able to create compelling content on their
website. “We found Spark to be incredibly easy to use and the Saffire team
supported and encouraged us the whole way through,” said Rexroat.
The
software makes it easy to showcase and promote their new partnership program,
which places sponsor logos throughout the website and in their online visitor
guide. Since December, Experience Weatherford has not only improved their
online presence, but also raised almost
$45,000 in just three months from
their new partnership program
